(Movies): Avatar 2 & 3 Filming Back-to-Back?

“James Cameron apparently envisioned Avatar as a trilogy, and he now says he’s considering filming Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 back to back. “We’re talking about that, that makes a lot of sense, given the nature of these productions. We can bank all the capture and then go back and do cameras,” he explained. However, the director also said: “We’re still working on deals, so we don’t start the movies until we get the deals worked out. Really what I’m working on now primarily is the novel. I didn’t want to do some cheesy novelization, where some hack comes in and makes shit up.”-Deadline
